High-Pressure Relief Valve

Case Temperature Switch And High-Pressure Relief Valve:

Remove or Disconnect

1. Battery negative (-) cable.
2. Compressor from vehicle.
^ Mount compressor into vise.
^ Unscrew and remove high-pressure relief valve with O-ring seal from compressor.
3. O-ring seal from high-pressure relief valve.
^ Discard old O-ring seal.

Install or Connect

^ Lubricate new O-ring seal with GM #12345762 compressor oil.
1. New O-ring seal to high-pressure relief valve.
2. High-pressure relief valve to compressor.

Tighten
^ High-pressure relief valve to 11 Nm (97 lb. in.).

3. Compressor to vehicle.
4. Battery negative (-) cable.
