Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

NOTICE: Care must be used when handling coolant temperature sensor. Damage to coolant temperature sensor will affect proper operation of the fuel injection system.

REMOVAL:

1. Relieve coolant system pressure.
2. Remove negative battery cable.
3. Disconnect electrical connector.
4. Remove CTS from engine.

INSTALLATION:

1. Coat thread of CTS with sealer P/N 1052080 or equivalent.
2. Install CTS, torque to 30 N-m (22 lb. ft.).
3. Connect electrical connector.
4. Connect negative battery cable.
5. Replenish coolant system to proper level.
