Fuel Tank Draining Procedure

PROCEDURE:

1. Relieve fuel system pressure. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELIEF.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Use a syphon at the main (NOT return) fuel pipe at the fuel tank pump assembly.

CAUTION: Never drain or store gasoline or diesel fuel in an open container, due to the possibility of fire or explosion. Always have a dry chemical (Class B) fire extinguisher near the work area.

4. Reinstall any removed fuel hoses, lines, and cap.
