Oxygen Sensor: Service and Repair

NOTE: Care should be used when removing 02 Sensor as damage will occur to the 02 Sensor and its wire.

IMPORTANT: 02 Sensor may be difficult to remove at temperatures below 48°C (120°F). Care should be used so as to not damage threads in exhaust manifold. If exhaust manifold is hot care should be exercised when removing 02 Sensor as to not burn yourself on a hot radiator or exhaust manifold. The 02 Sensor comes with anti-seize coating on the new sensor. Care should be used as to not remove any of this coating.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT:

1. Ignition "OFF."

2. Electrical connector.

3. 02 sensor from exhaust manifold.

INSTALL OR CONNECT:

1. O2 Sensor to exhaust manifold.

2 Tighten O2 sensor. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS.

3. Electrical connector.
