Refer to Fig. 9 for DOHC engine breakdown.
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove accelerator cable clip and PCV hose from intake air duct, then the intake air duct from vehicle.
3. Remove accelerator cable from throttle valve, then MAP sensor hose from MAP sensor.
4. Remove vacuum hose from brake booster and two canister hoses from pipes on common chamber, then remove canister pipe bracket.
5. Remove fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose, then remove induction control valve vacuum hose.
6. Remove throttle valve from common chamber, then disconnect alternator harness clip and three fuel injector harness cable clips.
7. Loosen EGR pipe bracket at exhaust manifold and loosen EGR clip at thermostat housing.
8. Remove two common chamber bracket bolts on lefthand side of engine and engine hanger bolt on righthand side of common chamber.
9. Remove ten bolts and two nuts from common chamber induction control valve assembly, then the common chamber.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
