Shift Cable: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove ashtray, shift trim bezel, heater control knobs, then radio bezel.
3. Remove lower console, then shift knob from lever.
4. Disconnect back drive cable for shift control.
5. Disconnect shift lock out module from shift control, then electrical connections.
6. Disconnect shift control cable from shift control.
7. Remove shift control retaining bolts, then shift control.
8. Remove solenoid and switch assembly from shift control.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
