Troubleshooting Hints - Compressor Controls

PROCEDURE
1. Check Fuses C-11, C-21, E-2 and Fusible Link FL-2 with a fuse tester.
2. Check that the A/C Compress Relay, A/C Thermo Relay, Heater and A/C Relay, (Neutral) Relay, and Restart Relay are securely mounted in the FUSE AND RELAY BOX or the RELAY BOX.
3. Check that the A/C system is properly charged.
4. If A/C COMPRESSOR CLUTCH is always engaged, check for a short to voltage in GRN/ORN wire between A/C Compress Relay, A/C Thermo Relay and ECM or in GRN or BLK wires between A/C Compress Relay and A/C COMPRESSOR CLUTCH.
5. If A/C COMPRESSOR CLUTCH engages every time BLOWER SPEED SELECTOR SWITCH is turned on, check for a short to voltage in LT GRN wire between A/C SWITCH, A/C Thermo Relay and A/C THERMOSTATIC SWITCH. If OK replace A/C SWITCH.
