Fuel Injector: Testing and Inspection

AllData Editor Note: Beginning with Model Year 1994, GM quit publishing a stand alone ohms reading to test a fuel injector coil.

Most GM manufacturers now use a voltage drop and/or a fuel pressure drop test to measure Fuel Injector Coil Integrity.

These test sequences can be found in Computers and Control Systems, under A, C or System Diagnostic Charts. Testing and Inspection

Within these tests you might find an "Ohm" reading of the Injector, but generally this measurement is No Longer Used to solely determine the Pass/Fail quality of the Injector coil.
