Camshaft Position Sensor: Adjustments

Air Gap Check:

1. Remove distributor cap and rotor.
2. Disconnect electrical connector.
3. Rotate crankshaft to align signal rotor with sensor.
4. Measure air gap using non-metallic feeler gauges.
5. Loosen two retaining screws.
6. Adjust air gap to 0.2-0.4mm (.008-.016 in.).
7. Tighten two retaining screws and recheck.
8. Install rotor and distributor cap.
9. Reconnect electrical connector.

IMPORTANT: If air gap cannot be set, replace distributor.
