Crankshaft Position Sensor: Adjustments

Air Gap Check:

1. Remove distributor cap and rotor.
2. Disconnect electrical connector.
3. Rotate crankshaft to align signal rotor with sensor.
4. Measure air gap using noNmetallic feeler gauges. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS.
5. Loosen two retaining screws.
6. Adjust air gap to proper setting.
7. Tighten two retaining screws and recheck.
8. Install rotor and distributor cap.
9. Reconnect electrical connector.

IMPORTANT If air gap cannot be set replace distributor.
