1. Raise and support rear of vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
2. Remove E-ring, then detach brake hose from control rod.
3. Place alignment marks on control rod and control rod washer at body bracket for setting toe during installation, Fig. 4.
4. Remove control rod to rear suspension knuckle attaching nut, Fig. 7.
5. Remove control rod to body bracket bolt, then remove control rod.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Position control rod to vehicle as shown in Fig. 8. When installing control rod to body bracket, align marks made on washer and control rod during removal. Do not torque control rod attaching nuts and bolts until after vehicle has been lowered.
