INTERMEDIATE SERVO, REPLACE

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove three transaxle fluid pan bolts shown in Fig. 15.
3. Install piston cover depressor tool No. J-35534 or equivalent onto transaxle oil pan, Fig. 16.
4. Tighten adjustment bolt on tool until servo cover snap ring can be removed.
5. Remove servo cover snap ring, then slowly loosen adjustment bolt.
6. Remove servo cover, servo piston, springs and piston rod, Fig. 17.
7. Reverse procedure to install, apply transmission fluid liberally to all servo components prior to installation.
