Cruise Control: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove actuator cover, then loosen cable locknuts.
3. Disconnect control cable from actuator lever and bracket.
4. Disconnect actuator electrical connector.
5. Remove three bolts from actuator, then actuator and brackets.
6. Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a. Torque actuator bolts to 7.5 ft. lbs.
b. Inspect cable for excessive wear or loose fit, replace as necessary.
c. Torque cable locknuts to 44 ft. lbs.
