Radiator: Service and Repair

Fig. 27 Radiator Removal:






1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then drain cooling system.
2. Remove coolant recovery reservoir cap and hoses.
3. Remove upper radiator hose at radiator, Fig. 27 .
4. Remove lower radiator hose at thermostat housing.
5. Unclip oxygen sensor electrical connector from fan shroud.
6. Raise and properly support vehicle.
7. Remove engine splash shield.
8. Remove lower radiator hose from vehicle.
9. On models with automatic transaxle, remove transaxle cooling lines.
10. On all models, remove cooling fan electrical connector.
11. Remove radiator fan assembly lower bolts.
12. Lower vehicle.
13. Remove radiator fan assembly upper bolts, then remove fan assembly from vehicle.
14. Remove radiator support bracket bolts.
15. Remove radiator from vehicle.
16. Reverse procedure to install.
