EGR Backpressure Transducer: Service and Repair

Remove or Disconnect

1. Negative (-) battery cable.

2. Four vacuum hoses from EGR vacuum modulator.

EGR Vacuum Modulator:

3. EGR vacuum modulator EGR retainer.

Install or Connect

1. EGR vacuum modulator to retainer.

2. Four vacuum hoses to EGR vacuum modulator.

3. Negative (-) battery cable.

Tighten

^ Negative (-) battery cable-to-negative (-) battery terminal retainer to 15 Nm (11 lb.ft.).
