Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair






MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR REPLACEMENT

Remove or Disconnect

1. Negative (-) battery cable.

2. One vacuum hose from MAP sensor.

3. MAP sensor electrical connector.

4. One bolt and MAP sensor with bracket from bulkhead.

Install or Connect

1. MAP sensor with bracket to bulkhead; secure with one bolt.

Tighten

^ MAP sensor bolt to 15 Nm (11 lb.ft.).

2. MAP sensor electrical connector.

3. One vacuum hose to MAP sensor.

4. Negative (-) battery cable.

Tighten

^ Negative (-) battery cable-to-negative battery terminal retainer to 15 Nm (11 lb.ft).
