Fillpipe Restrictor: Description and Operation

Fillpipe Restrictor:

PURPOSE
Prevents the insertion of leaded fuel nozzles into the fuel tank filler.

LOCATION
In the fuel filler inlet.

OPERATION
The opening in the restricter will only admit the smaller unleaded gas nozzle spout, which must be fully inserted to bypass the deflector. Attempted refueling with a leaded gas nozzle will result in gasoline splashing back out of the filler neck.
