Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Disconnect the engine control switch and tachometer connectors at the coil, if equipped.
- Disconnect coil to distributor lead at the coil.
- Remove screws holding the coil bracket and coil to the engine.
- Remove coil bracket and coil.
- Remove coil from coil bracket.

INSTALLATION
- Install coil to coil bracket with two screws.
- Install screws to hold coil to coil bracket.
- Install coil and coil bracket to engine. Tighten screws to 22 Nm (16 ft lb).
- Connect coil to distributor lead.
- Connect engine control switch and tachometer connectors at the coil, if equipped.
- Connect negative battery cable.
