Heater Core: Service and Repair

Heater Case Assembly:






1. Disconnect battery ground cable and drain cooling system.
2. Disconnect heater hoses.
3. Remove instrument panel and instrument panel center support.
4. Disconnect all electrical connections and mode and temperature control cables from heater unit, Fig. 10.
5. Remove defroster and speedometer cable retaining bracket from heater unit.
6. Disconnect fastener bolts, grommets and floor duct from heater case.
7. Remove heater unit.
8. Remove heater core from heater unit.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
