Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

Description:

MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative (-) battery cable.
2. Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.
3. One clamp and Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet tube from MAF sensor.
4. Two bolts and MAF sensor and bracket from ACL.
5. Two bolts and bracket from MAF sensor.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. MAF sensor to bracket; secure with two bolts. Tighten MAF sensor bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb. in.).
2. MAF sensor and bracket to ACL; secure with two bolts. Tighten MAF sensor brackets bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb. in.).
3. ACL outlet tube to MAF sensor; secure with one clamp.
4. MAF sensor electrical connector.
5. Negative (-) battery cable. Tighten negative (-) battery cable-to negative (-) battery terminal retainer to 15 Nm (11 lb. ft.).
