Case Extension Housing and Speedometer Driven Gear

^ Tool Required:
- J 21426 Extension Housing Seal Installer





Inspect
- Extension housing (119) for cracks or porosity.
- Parking pawl (122) and spring (121).









ASSEMBLE
1. Extension housing seal (125), use J 21426.
2. Parking pawl (122) and spring (121).
3. Extension housing to case gasket (126).
4. Align the parking pawl actuator rod (123) into the extension housing (119).
5. Extension housing bolts (127).

Tighten
- Bolts to 31 N.m (23 lb. ft.).

6. Speedometer driven gear guide seal (601), if necessary.
7. Speedometer driven gear (602), gear guide (603) and guide bushing (604).
8. Speedometer driven gear guide bracket (607), washer (606) and bolt (605).

Tighten
- Bolt to 9.5 N.m (85 lb. in.).
