Third Clutch and Sprag Unit

- J 38450 Third Clutch Sprain Retainer laid Tool

ASSEMBLE
1. Place third clutch housing and input shaft assembly (319) upright using a soft jawed vise as a support.
2. Third clutch waved plate (328). bevel Lice down.
3. Third clutch plates (326, 327) into clutch housing. Starting with a steel clutch plate and alternating with Shied plates.
4. Thrust washer (329). bearing (330) and thrust washer (332).
5. Align third clutch inner tangs.
6. Fully engage the spray assembly hub splines into the thin-d clutch hater tangs. simultaneously rotate the outer spray race to encage into the third clutch house
7. Install a tool blade J 38450 at each extremity of the retaining ring (Figure 33).
8. Compress the retainer lil1'2 (335) wiLl1 .1 screwdriver- opposite the tool blades while pushing down on the outer spray race (335).
9. Engage retainer ring (335) hit`> groove.
10. Remove tool blades J 38450.
