Checking Transmission Oil Level

1. Raise and suitably support vehicle.








2. Remove transmission oil level filler plug from transmission.

Inspect
- Transmission oil level. Oil level should be even with the bottom of the transmission oil level/filler plug hole. If oil level is low, adjust oil level accordingly with synthetic 75W-90 GL4 lubricant, or equivalent.

3. Apply GM P/N 12346004, or equivalent, to the threaded portion of the transmission oil level/filler plug.
4. Install transmission oil level/filler plug into transmission.
- Tighten transmission oil level/filler plug to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
5. Lower vehicle.
