Blower Motor: Service and Repair

Heater Control Unit Control Cables:

Remove or Disconnect

1. Powertrain Control Module.
2. Blower motor and blower motor resistor electrical connectors.
3. Fresh/recirc control cable from blower case.
4. Three bolts and blower case from vehicle.
5. Air hose between blower motor and blower case.
6. Three screws and blower motor from blower case.
7. Blower fan from motor (if required).

Install or Connect

1. Blower fan to motor (if removed).
2. Blower motor to blower case; secure with three screws.
3. Air hose to blower case and blower motor.
4. Blower case to vehicle; secure with three bolts.

Tighten

^ Blower case bolts to 10 N.m. (89 lb. in.).

5. Fresh/recirc air control cable to blower case.
6. Electrical connectors to blower motor and blower motor resistor.
7. PCM.

Adjust

^ Fresh/recirc control cable.
