Windshield Washer Switch: Service and Repair

Instrument Panel Assembly:





Remove or Disconnect
1. Disable the SIR. Refer to Disabling the SIR.
2. Negative (-) battery terminal.
3. Knee bolster.
4. Two bolts, two nuts and drop steering column.
5. Rear wiper/washer electrical connector.
6. Clip on bottom of rear wiper/washer switch by pushing up with a pick.
7. Rear wiper/washer switch from left garnish trim panel.

Install or Connect
1. Rear wiper/washer switch to left garnish trim panel. Push in until clip fully engages.
2. Rear wiper/washer electrical connector.
3. Steering column to instrument panel; secure with two bolts and two nuts.

Tighten
Steering column bolts and nuts to 15 N.m (11 lb. ft.).
4. Knee bolster.
5. Negative (-) battery cable.
6. Enable the SIR. Refer to Enabling the SIR.
