Blower Motor: Service and Repair

Fig. 1 Blower Motor Assembly Removal:





1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove five glove box attaching screws, then remove glove box.
3. Remove floor duct and molded insulator pad.
4. On vehicles equipped with heat only, remove blower duct, Fig. 1. On vehicles equipped with A/C, remove blower assembly to evaporator housing sealing band.
5. Remove three mounting bolts from blower assembly, Fig. 1, then remove blower assembly.
6. Disconnect wire connector and vacuum tube or cable from back of blower assembly.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
