On 1984-87 Civic and CRX, assemble pistons onto connecting rods with valve depressions on opposite side from connecting rod oil hole, Fig. 31. Also note that pistons must be properly matched with connecting rods so that in installed position valve depressions face as shown in Fig. 32, and connecting rod oil holes face intake manifold side of engine.
