Removal and Installation

Fig. 5 Receiver/drier installation.:

1. Run engine at idle speed and turn on A/C for a few minutes.
2. Shut engine off, then disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Disconnect compressor clutch electrical connector.
4. Remove left front under cover, then engine lower grille cowling.
5. Carefully discharge refrigerant from system.
6. Disconnect receiver/drier attaching lines, then receiver/drier Fig. 5..

7. Disconnect suction and discharge hoses from compressor and cap all openings.
8. Loosen belt adjusting bolt and pulley nut, then remove belt from pulley.
9. Remove compressor mounting bolts and nuts, then remove compressor, Fig. 5.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
