Feedback Control Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

Civic 1500 & CRX Exc. HF
Ensure air control valve B is working properly.
1. Disconnect vacuum hose No. 24 from surge tank B, then connect suitable hand vacuum pump to the hose.
2. Apply battery voltage to the feedback control solenoid valve blue/red wire terminal, then draw vacuum.
3. If vacuum remains steady, proceed to step 4. If vacuum does not remain steady, replace feedback control solenoid valve and repeat test.
4. Disconnect battery voltage from the feedback control solenoid valve. Vacuum should not be present.
5. If vacuum is not present, feedback control solenoid valve is satisfactory. If vacuum is present, replace feedback control solenoid valve and repeat test.
