Removal

Ensure suction and discharge joints are securely capped.

Fig. 3 32 mm snap ring removal:

1. Remove pressure plate, then the 32 mm snap ring, Fig. 3.
2. Remove woodruff key from keyway, then the shims from shaft.

3. Remove seal seat from pulley assembly as shown, Fig. 4.

4. Insert shaft seal remover tool, Fig. 5, then rotate tool to ensure cutout is engaged with metal pawl.
5. Press remover tool until it bottoms, then rotate tool fully counterclockwise and withdraw.
6. Place compressor assembly on a suitable workbench, then clean shaft seal mating surface in a suitable solvent.
