Fuel Cut-Off System

Exc. 1987---88 Accord & Prelude
1. Start engine and allow to reach normal operating temperature. Ensure engine idles smoothly.
2. Disconnect vacuum hose from dashpot of the throttle body, if equipped.
3. Ensure injectors are making a clicking noise using a suitable stethoscope.
4. While listening to the injectors, raise engine speed to 3000 RPM, then release throttle. Clicking noise in injector should stop momentarily when throttle is released.
5. If clicking noise does not stop, check ECU, throttle angle sensor or wiring between injector and ECU.
