Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Frequency Solenoid Valve A

1. Disconnect air hose routed from air control valve A.
2. Connect suitable pressure gauge and hand pump to valve, then blow air into hose. Air should not flow and gauge should register pressure.
3. If air does not flow, proceed to step 4. If air flows but gauge does not register pressure, replace frequency solenoid valve.
4. Apply battery voltage to frequency solenoid valve while blowing air into valve. Air should flow and gauge should not register pressure.
5. If air flows, frequency solenoid valve A is satisfactory. If air does not flow but gauge registers pressure, replace frequency solenoid valve.
