Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Description and Operation

This sensor uses a thermistor to measure differences in the coolant temperature. Basic injector discharge duration read out is determined by signals sent from this sensor to the ECU. The resistance of the thermistor decreases with a rise in coolant temperature.
