Fuel Tank: Service and Repair

WARNING: Don't smoke when working with fuel systems. Keep open flames out of work areas.

Fuel Tank:

1. Lift rear of car with jack or raise car on hoist.
2. Be sure ignition switch is OFF
3. Drain fuel from tank into suitable container.
4. Disconnect hoses and sending unit connectors.
5. Support fuel tank, remove strap nuts, and lower straps.
6. Remove fuel tank.
7. Refit tank in reverse order. Use new washer on drain plug.
8. Check for leaks.
