EXC. 1988 PRELUDE W/FUEL INJECTED ENGINE & 1988 CIVIC, CIVIC WAGON & CRX
1. Disconnect primary lead from ignition coil and radio condenser, if equipped.
2. Tag spark plug wires for proper location, then disconnect them and the coil wire at distributor.
3. Disconnect hoses from advance diaphragm.
4. On fuel injected engine, disconnect 4 pin connector from crank angle sensor.
5. Remove distributor hold down bolts and, on fuel injected engines, the nut and remove distributor.
6. Coat new O-ring with engine oil and install it on distributor housing, then place distributor in position.
7. Install adjusting bolts and, on fuel injected engines, the nut and tighten temporarily.
8. Connect coil wire.
9. Connect hoses to advance diaphragm and, on fuel injected engines, the 4 pin crank angle sensor connector.
10. Connect primary lead to ignition coil and radio condenser.
11. Connect spark plug wires to distributor in proper order.
9. Adjust ignition timing, then tighten adjusting bolts and, on fuel injected engines, the nut.



W/FUEL INJECTED ENGINE
1. Disconnect ground wire from radio noise condenser.
2. Tag spark plug wires for proper installation, then disconnect them and the coil wire from the distributor.
3. Disconnect 4 pin connector from distributor.
4. Remove distributor hold down bolts and the distributor.
5. Coat new O-ring with engine oil and install it on distributor, then place distributor in position.
6. Install hold down bolts and tighten temporarily.
7. Connect 4 pin connector to distributor and the ground wire to radio noise condenser.
8. Connect coil and spark plug wires at distributor.
9. Adjust ignition timing, then tighten hold down bolts.
