Fast Idle

1. Start engine and run until cooling fan comes on.
2. Stop engine and connect tachometer.
3. Disconnect and plug inside vacuum line of fast idle unloader.
4. To engage fast idle cam, open and close throttle while holding choke valve closed.

Fast Idle Adjustment:

5. Restart engine and check idle speed for 2500 ± 500rpm. Adjust by turning fast idle adjusting screw if needed.

NOTE: Do not attempt adjustment on a cold engine. When checking fast idle on a cold engine, the specified idle speed may not be obtained. The factory procedure and specification require the engine to be at normal operating temperature
