Underhood Emissions Information Label Replacement

PROBLEM

If hood replacement is necessary, it is not possible to remove an underhood Emissions Control Label from one hood and put it on another without damaging the label beyond use. Order a replacement label through the Consumer Affairs department at the phone number below.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Order a new underhood Emissions Control Label directly from Consumer Affairs.

To order:

1. Verify the VIN; use the DCS System to confirm that the VIN is valid and represents a US car.

2. Have the following information ready.

Your name
Dealer number
District and Zone Number
Last name of the customer
Model and year of the car
VIN (complete VIN)

3. Call (213) 783-3571 or FAX (213) 783-3295 and order.

A pre-addressed consumer registration card will accompany each label. Sign it, date it and return it within 30 days.
