Compressor Clutch Relay: Description and Operation
A/C Compressor Clutch Relay:
The
Compressor Clutch Relay, mounted behind the radiator next to the air intake tube, is activated by the
ECU to engage the compressor clutch.
When the
ECU receives a demand for cooling from the air conditioning system (A/C switch), it delays the compressor from being energized to assure smooth transition to the A/C mode.
