Wiper Motor: Service and Repair
FRONT1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Open hood and remove wiper arm retaining nuts and wiper arms.
3. Unsnap clips carefully with a screwdriver and remove air scoop complete with hood sealing rubber.
4. Remove lower connecting rod from wiper motor pivot arm.
5. Disconnect wiring harness at motor.
6. Loosen attaching bolts and remove wiper motor together with its cover from cowl. On some models, it may be necessary to remove motor cover to gain access to motor attaching bolts.
7. Separate cover from wiper motor.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
REAR
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove hatch trim cover.
3. Remove cover and wiper arm attaching nut, then remove wiper arm.
4. Remove cap, nut and washers from wiper arm shaft.
5. Remove rubber seal from wiper arm shaft, then disconnect wiper motor electrical connector.
6. Remove three wiper motor attaching bolts and wiper motor.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
