Bypass Valve Test:

CAUTION: Do not adjust the bypass valve full-close screw. It is factory set.

1. Check the bypass valve shaft for binding or sticking.
2. Check the bypass valve for smooth movement.
3. Check that (A), Figure 61, of the bypass valve is in close contact with the stopper when the bypass valve is full open.
4. Check that (B), Figure 62, of the bypass valve is in close contact with the full-close screw when the valve is full closed.
5. If any problem is found, clean the linkage and shafts with carburetor cleaner.
