Removal and Installation

CAUTION:
- All SRS electrical wiring harnesses are covered with yellow outer insulation.
- Before disconnecting the SRS wire harness, install the short connector(s) on the airbag(s).
- Replace the entire affected SRS harness assembly if it has an open circuit or damaged wiring.







1. Remove the ashtray.
Remove the console.







2. Remove the switches, coin box, air vent, and ashtray lighting bracket.







3. Remove the radio/cassette player and instrument panel.
- Loosen the self-tapping screws under the radio/cassette player, and remove the radio/cassette player.
- Tilt the steering column down, then remove the instrument panel.

4. Disconnect the cables at the heater unit.
5. Remove the four self-tapping screws, pull out the heater control panel, disconnect the wire harness connectors, then remove the heater control panel.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal, and reconnect the cables, making sure they are properly adjusted.
