Fast Idle Out of Specification When Cold

Check in the Order Listed:

1. Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) (code 14)
2. Other Idle Controls
a. Fast Idle Valve
b. Idle Adjusting Screw
3. Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor (code 6)
4. ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) (BU)

NOTE:
(BU) code used when the MALFUNCTION INDICATOR WARNING LAMP is on, and the self-diagnosis indicator LED is ON with no "blinks", the back-up system is in operation.

Self-diagnosis indicator, (LED) blinks (?), will follow associated systems.
