Variable Valve Timing Pressure Switch: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION
1. Warm engine up to operating temperature (cooling fan comes on).
2. Turn ignition switch off.

VTEC Pressure Switch Connector Terminal Identification.:

3. Disconnect the two pin connector at the VTEC Pressure Switch. Check for continuity between the terminals on the switch. If no continuity measured, replace switch.

Malfunctions of the VTEC Pressure Switch or circuit should set Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 22.
