With Generic Scan Tool

Data Link Connector and SCS Connector (with Shorting Service Connector installed):

A properly configured Scantool can be connected to the Data Link Connector (DLC) for the purpose of code/data extraction and code clearing. The DLC is a three pin connector that is stored, along with the two pin Service Check Connector, in a dummy connector block located under the glove box hinge.

The Scantool must be equipped with software and connectors appropriate to the PGM-FI system, to avoid damage to the Scantool or Engine Control Module (ECM).
