Keyless Entry Module: Testing and Inspection

Control Unit Input Test / With Keyless Entry System

NOTE: Performed these tests with the keyless door lock control unit connector disconnected.





1. Remove the driver's kick panel.
2. Disconnect the 18P connector from the control unit.




3. Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.
- If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
- If the terminal tests are performed with the keyless door lock control unit connector disconnected.
- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, the control unit must be faulty; replace it.







Disconnect the 18P connector from the power door lock control unit.

CAUTION: To prevent damage to the actuator, apply battery voltage only momentarily.
