Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Door Locks: Service and Repair

NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1. Remove the sliding door outer handle.

2. Disconnect the door latch cable (A) and door auto close cable or lower roller latch cable (B). If equipped, disconnect the door lock actuator connector (C) and power release actuator connector (D). Then remove the door lock remote control (E) through the hole in the door. Take care not to bend any of the cables.

3. Install in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Make sure the actuator connector(s) are plugged in properly, and each cable is connected securely. Make sure the door locks and opens properly.
