DTC P1607: Malfunction in ECM/PCM Internal Circuit
DTC P0607: Malfunction in ECM/PCM Internal Circuit

1. Reset the ECM/PCM.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and wait for 40 seconds.
3. Wait 40 seconds.

Is DTC P1607 indicated?

YES - Update the ECM/PCM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good ECM/PCM, then recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away with a known-good ECM/PCM, replace the original ECM/PCM.

NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. A low battery can cause this problem. Ask the customer if there has been any recent trouble starting the engine.
