Radiator Cooling Fan Temperature Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection

Radiator Fan Switch Test

NOTE: Bleed air from the cooling system after installing the radiator fan switch.

1. Remove radiator fan switch A from the water passage and radiator fan switch B from the cylinder head.





2. Suspend each radiator fan switch (A) in a container of coolant as shown.
3. Heat the coolant and check the temperature with a thermometer (B). Do not let the thermometer touch the bottom of the hot container.





4. Measure the continuity between terminal (No. 1) and terminal (No. 2) according to the table.
