Removal and Installation
Alternator Replacement1. Make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the radio and the navigation system, then write down the frequencies for the radio's preset buttons.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery, and then disconnect the positive cable.
3. Remove the alternator-compressor belt.
4. Remove the intake manifold cover and ignition coil cover.
5. Disconnect the alternator 4P connector (A) and BLK wire (B) from the alternator.
6. Remove the mount bolt (A) and alternator bracket mounting bolt (B), then remove the harness clamp (C) from the alternator, and remove the alternator.
7. Install the reverse order of removal.
8. Enter the anti-theft codes for the radio and the navigation system, then enter the customer's radio station presets. Reset the clock.
9. Perform the powertrain control module (PCM) idle learn procedure, and power window control unit reset procedure.
