Variable Induction Control Valve: Service and Repair

IMT Valve Replacement

1. Remove the intake manifold.




2. Disconnect the vacuum hose (A).
3. Remove the bolts (B).
4. Remove the IMT actuator assembly (C).

NOTE:
- When installing the IMT actuator, make sure the bearing (D) is in place.
- Make sure the IMT assembly does not interfere with the intake manifold (E).
- When installing the IMT actuator, replace the O-rings (F).




5. Install the IMT actuator assembly (A) so the hole (B) is visible.




6. Turn the IMT actuator assembly (A), and align the bolt holes.

NOTE: When turning the IMT actuator assembly, make sure the stop (B) fits into the groove (C).
